Hiring a signage contractor in Singapore is not the same as ordering a board online. The contractor owns the site: substrate, structure, electrical supply, access equipment, landlord rules and, where required, BCA signboard licence drawings and PE endorsement.

What the contractor scope includes
- Site survey with fascia / reveal measurements and photo record
- Fabrication drawings for landlord or mall ID teams
- In-house build of letters, boxes, boards and neon
- Electrical: driver location, isolation, IP-rated terminations
- Access: ladder, scaffold, scissor lift or boom lift
- After-hours work where the mall or office requires it
- Signboard licence drawings and PE coordination when the installation needs it
- Removal of existing signs and making good
Site conditions that change the method
Painted RC and brick take mechanical anchors. ACM cladding often needs a hidden rail so you do not crush the cassette. Glass shopfronts take standoffs or high-bond methods with edge clearance for the door swing. Gypsum lobby walls need a plywood pattress behind — we will not hang 8 mm stainless letters on plasterboard alone.
Pavement permits and lane closure are the installer's problem, not the client's. We flag that at survey if the fascia sits over a five-foot way or a service road.
Electrical and illumination
Illuminated signs need a dedicated, accessible isolator. We will not bury a driver behind a sealed ACM cassette with no service hatch. LED modules are specified 12 V or 24 V to the letter depth; outdoor modules are IP65 or better. Transformers / power supplies sit in ventilated boxes, typically Mean Well-class constant-voltage units sized with headroom for tropical ambient temperature.
When PE endorsement is in the picture
Large, heavy or projecting signs — especially those on building façades or over public walkways — may need Professional Engineer endorsement of the fixing design. We tell you at survey, not after the letters are already in the van. Licence drawings and PE are quoted separately from fabrication.

Yes. I-SIGNAGE is registered under CR06 Interior Decoration & Finishing Works. That is the workhead covering interior decoration, finishing and related signage / fit-out installation.
Do you install signs you did not fabricate?
Usually no. We install what we make so the wiring, returns and fixings match. Repair of a third-party sign is quoted as a repair job after inspection.
Can you work after office hours in the CBD?
Yes. After-hours and overnight slots are normal for malls and offices. The surcharge is in the install quote, not hidden later.
