Neon Signage in Singapore
Almost all ‘neon’ we install now is LED neon-flex: a diffused LED in a coloured or opal silicone jacket, bent to the artwork, mounted on clear acrylic or a painted backing. It is cooler, lower wattage, and a section can be replaced without a glass-blower.
Glass neon is still possible for a restoration brief. For a café feature wall that will be photographed every night, LED neon-flex is the commercial default.
Indoor feature vs window vs outdoor
Indoor: clear acrylic backing, standoffs off a painted wall, 12 V driver in a nearby cupboard or behind the panel. Window: we check daylight wash-out and whether the mall allows illuminated window signs after close. Outdoor: only with outdoor-rated jacket, sealed terminations and a carcass that does not pond water.
Artwork that actually bends
Neon-flex has a minimum bend radius. Hairline scripts and 8 mm strokes will look broken. We redraw the path so the glow is continuous, then you approve a 1:1 paper or CAD plot before we heat-bend the jacket.
Power and fixing
Drivers must be accessible. We will not epoxy a 12 V supply inside a sealed wall cavity. Acrylic backings are cut with hanging slots or standoff holes; large pieces get a split backing so they fit the lift and the door.

Is LED neon as bright as glass?
For indoor F&B, yes enough — and more even. Glass still has a distinctive look if that is the brief.
Can you match my brand colour?
We match from a colour chart of jackets plus gel / opal options. Exact Pantone glow is a conversation; the jacket is a physical colour, not CMYK print.
How long does a neon sign take?
Typically 1–3 weeks after path approval, faster for small indoor pieces.
Can I take it with me when the lease ends?
Usually yes — neon-flex on acrylic is a removable object. We can quote removal and make-good with the original job.
