Non-illuminated acrylic is still the right shop sign when the unit already has strong soffit lighting or the town council is strict on new lighting. Thickness and laminate are what separate a one-year board from a three-year board on a west-facing block.
We templated off the existing holes where they were still in sound material, and re-drilled where they were not. Reusing rotten plugs is how new boards rattle in the first month.
