Metal Signage in Singapore
Metal signage is aluminium and stainless: plates, cut-out logos, channel-letter returns, and 3D built-up letters. It is what we spec when the brief is ‘this should still look correct in five years in a lift lobby’ rather than ‘this is a six-month pop-up’.
Aluminium for painted or vinyl-faced outdoor boards and letter returns. Stainless 304 for most indoor logos; 316 near pools, kitchens and marine air.

Built-up letters vs plates
A 1.5 mm stainless plate logo on standoffs is a different job from 50 mm built-up stainless letters. Built-up letters need internal structure and, if halo-lit, a lighting cavity. We will not quote them as if they were a nameplate.
Corrosion and cleaning
Singapore outdoor air plus nearby food exhaust will tea-stain 304. We discuss 316 or a maintenance wipe-down if the sign sits above a bak kut teh exhaust. Cleaning with bleach or abrasive pads is how mirror stainless dies; we leave a care note at handover.

Aluminium or stainless for an outdoor shop name?
Painted aluminium or ACM is usually the better outdoor board. Stainless letters are for the brand mark that must look like metal, with a proper outdoor coating or 316.
Can you halo-light stainless letters?
Yes — opaque face, LED at the rear, even standoffs, dark wall. See channel letters for the hollow version.
Will brushed stainless rust?
It can tea-stain outdoors. Indoor lift lobbies are fine in 304. Tell us if the wall sees rain or kitchen exhaust.
Can you match an existing brushed grain direction?
Yes if we see a sample. Grain direction is part of the drawing for multi-letter logos.
